The Race

IHS Cares 2nd Annual
Waterfront 5K Run/Walk.

Now in its second year, the IHS Cares Waterfront 5K is one of the most scenic races on Long Island — a waterfront course through the heart of Oyster Bay village, starting at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and winding through the Gold Coast before finishing steps from the brewery. Flat, fast, and beautiful in September morning light.

The race benefits three outstanding organizations: the Daughters of Mary, the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America, and the Life Center of Long Island. Every entry supports all three.

Why It Matters

Three great causes.
One morning in Oyster Bay.

The IHS Cares 5K supports three Long Island non-profits making a real difference in our community. Every registration, every donation, and every step on Saturday morning helps fund their work.

Daughters of Mary

A Congregation of Traditional Catholic Sisters devoted to returning gratitude to the Sacred Heart through teaching and caring for others. Currently raising funds for a new Convent building.

Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America

Connecting every member of the Autism community with the resources, support, and empowerment they need to live fully. Serving Long Island families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Life Center of Long Island

Educating, equipping, and empowering pregnant and parenting women and men with the resources and emotional support needed to care for themselves and their children.

The Best Part

Every runner gets
a free beer voucher.

Every registered participant receives a free beer voucher redeemable right here at Oyster Bay Brewing Co. after the race. You ran 3.1 miles for a good cause. You more than earned it.

And this year, you're finishing at the exact moment pumpkin beer season kicks off at OBBC. The most anticipated fall seasonal on the Gold Coast — brewed right here — is going on tap this weekend. We couldn't have planned the timing better if we tried.

The After-Party

Music. Food. Drinks.
Pumpkin Beer on tap.

The official after-party is right here at Oyster Bay Brewing Co. at 36 Audrey Avenue. Live music. Full food menu available. 15+ craft beers on draft — including pumpkin beer, on tap for the first time this fall. Redeem your free beer voucher, find your people, and celebrate a great morning for a great cause.

You don't have to run to come to the after-party. Just show up, support the cause, and grab a pumpkin beer.
